Mount Barker is about 5 hours south of Perth and is considered very cool climate, so the wine is different to the warmer climate Shiraz wines in South Australia. It has elegance, structure and fine granied tannis, perfect for food!
The vines are gnarly old things at 35 years of age and like the Scholar Cabernet Sauvignon, we barrel select for this wine, only making it in years we believe it is up to standard.
