Capel Vale 2007 Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon

Capel Vale release two Margaret River Cabernets. The other retails for around $70 and that's what I thought I had in the glass when I tasted this one. It's hard to negotiate too hard when you splutter "You've got to be kidding" as you check and double check that you're actualy tasting the less expensive wine.

Cellar Door: $23.95
Our Price: $18 per bottle by the doz

Thanks Chris!

Glad you enjoyed the wine. You are spot on with the quality price ratio, as the production of the two wines are actually fairly simliar. We barrel select and then use 'extended maceration' for the "Scholar Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon" ($75 RRP), so it is really the best parts of the vineyard standing out, going into the top level.

The Regional Series Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon ($25 RRP) is deliberately meant to be great value!

Cheers
